Mount Dora's Version of Groundhog Day

February 2nd from 5pm to 6pm in Donnelly Park across from the historic, Donnelly House.

Mount Dora Mike and Mount Dora Millie move out of their winter hibernation from a palm tree stump to give prognostications of long awaited information like when winter will end, how many hurricanes we will be affected by this season, and the Super Bowl prediction. Last year Millie came within 1 point of the Super Bowl score, the most accurate nationwide.

Co-Sponsored by Mount Dora Parks and Recreation, Visit Mount Dora, Inc. and the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce. Hear from the 3 generations of a family all born on Groundhogs Day, and intriguing Uncle Donald's Farm stories.

The Mayor of Mount Dora and various dignitaries will be on hand to read the scrolls holding the questions for  Millie and Mike. Hear Ternbuckles Groundhog Poem, witness the scroll chest procession and more. 1 hour venue is free, donations on site welcomed to Uncle Donalds Farm.
